Meditation, the art of relaxing your mind, body and soul, a mental discipline that moves the mind to a relaxed state of a state of reflective thought, an important component of many religions, practiced since antiquity, a science by which you can alter your brainwaves to achieve deep relaxation and satisfaction.

Meditation has been defined and described in various disciplines in different ways. It has been practiced in various forms in different sections and parts of society. But the science behind it remains the same. The science of the brain and the effects of meditation in our brain to stop or how to stimulate our brain remains the same regardless of form, method or how it is practiced.

So, how our brain works? Our brain is an electrochemical organ that uses electromagnetic energy to function. Electrical energy is emanated from the brain in the form of brainwaves. There are four categories of these brainwaves, ranging from large amplitude, low frequency delta low amplitude, high frequency beta. These different types of brain waves are responsible for generating different types of emotions and behavior. Meditation makes these alter brain waves and stimulate the waves responsible for the relaxation and excitement no.

So scientifically, meditation is the process of alteration of brain waves to stimulate specific waves, responsible for relaxation and satisfaction. So the immediate question that arises in mind is that if you can stimulate specific brain waves through somewhat easier that does not require as much attention as meditation and attention not?

The answer is yes. Scientists have discovered that the easiest way simulate the brain is through your ears, through various sounds of different frequencies. That's why you feel calm when listening to pleasant music and irritates excess noise.

Still, some of the sounds needed for adequate stimulation of the brain are often beyond our normal hearing. These sounds, however, can be produced with a technique called "binaural beats". It has been found that if the sounds in the frequencies are introduced independent source in each of his ears, in the long run will make a new frequency to be created in the brain. This new frequency is the average of the two frequencies of the source, and a special rate 'appears to echo a number of times, depending only on the difference in the two frequencies.

So can this stimulation generated artificially easily achieve the benefits of meditation in much less time. Of course. In fact, the products have been developed using this scientific meditation technique. One such product is Deep Zen meditation Holothink Audio Package, which is to incorporate technology of binaural beats in Nice pleasant music. Just pretty nice listening music while Deep Zen Audio Meditation stimulates your brain to get great relaxation, increased creativity, intelligence, mental function and better sleep pattern.

Zen Buddhism is perhaps best known for its emphasis on meditation, and probably no figure in the history of Zen is more closely associated with meditation practice than the thirteenth-century Japanese master Dogen, founder of the Soto school. This study examines the historical and religious character of the practice as it is described in Dogen’s own meditation texts, introducing new materials and original perspectives on one of the most influential spiritual traditions of East Asian civilization.

The shakuhachi is an ancient Japanese flute built from a single stalk of mandake bamboo. Introduced into Japan from China in the eighth century, the instrument has been used as a spiritual and meditation instrument since at least the 15th century. Music for Zen Meditation features solo shakuhachi performances from Riley Lee, the first non-Japanese dai shihan, or grand master of the instrument. It is a spare, contemplative recording that is well suited for any kind of relaxation. Unlike many albums intended to enhance yoga or meditation, this release doesn’t muddy up its performances with melodramatic nature sounds or new age synthesizer clichés. Rather, it contains two discs of unadorned shakuhachi performances. As a wind instrument, the shakuhachi flute is deceptively simple. It has no keys, pads, levers, or reeds like most Western flutes, and includes only five finger holes. But masters of the instrument draw expressive, evocative variations of sound that are at once relaxing and captivating. Lee turns in performances like this throughout Music for Zen Meditation. Accompanied only by his own breathing, Lee draws forth wistful melodies that seem drenched in morning dew. ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide

In Zen: The Path of Paradox, Osho suggests Zen as a possible bridge between East and West, and between the scientific and the spiritual. Without science, Osho said, the East has lost much; without meditation, the West has lost much. I am trying to bring together East and West, because together they will create the whole. Osho encourages the reader to throw off the accumulated knowing of a lifetime–to let go of physical, mental, and emotional tensions, to relax into the flow of an extraordinary discourse and become receptive to the present moment and the potential within.
